Florida is one of the most fun-loving states of America, but this fun-loving nature also brings in some problems of its own. For example, Florida has always been battling with a growing drug problem.
Though the state has very clearly defined rules on drug prohibition and is very strict about implementing them, it is tragic to see that the drug addiction in Florida is only rising. Despite the law, there are a lot of flouters, especially among the tourists who come into the state in the thousands each day.
The greatest problem that the state is seeing now in terms of drug addiction is the growing use of methamphetamine and crystal meth especially in its younger generations. Methamphetamine in Florida comes in from the neighboring states, especially the western states and circulates freely among the nightclub circuits of the state. Youngsters are the prime targets of methamphetamine addiction in Florida. Methamphetamine also comes in from as far as Mexico and then freely gets distributed among the state.
There are also a few clandestinely operating meth labs in Florida that are making this drug secretively. These labs are quite significant contributors of the substance, because each such lab can produce about ten pounds of the substance for the state and they actually manufacture a purer and more potent form of the drug which is known as crystal meth. Both methamphetamine and crystal meth in Florida are sapping the younger generation, especially in the people of the 18 to 25 years age group.
